“Distinguished faculty members, honored guests, and my fellow graduates, thank you for joining us today. It is truly an honor to stand here as the class representative for the Utel Asia Global Ritual Graduation Class of 2025. Congratulations to everyone. To be completely honest, I thought preparing a speech would be simple. I assume I could just add a few inspiring lines.

Everything nicely, then be done with it. But at midnight today, okay, with my friend, Jen Bermaseda, she’s here with me. She’s also a graduate. I was still asking myself, what should I say? What truly matters? Then I realized something that we guys, we are all in the same journey. This graduation is not just a ceremony that ends once our names are called or once our names are flashed on the screen with our program. Today is the living proof of our perseverance and success.

Each one of us has carried struggles that only our laptops and screens have witnessed: the late night study sessions, the moments when we didn’t know where we would get the money for tuition fees, the times we submitted exams at the last minute and took extra credits to keep up — because I do that. And the quiet prayers we whispered, hoping we could finally, hoping we could finally graduate. All of those moments have brought us here today.

So to every working student, working mom or dad, single parents, and to every one of you who pushed through your own challenges, give yourself a gentle pat on the shoulder and say, I am very proud of myself because you should be. And to my fellow bachelor’s degree graduates, even though we didn’t experience the traditional university life, we deserve to celebrate this achievement just as much as everyone else.

And to God, who made all of this possible, all glory belongs to you, Jesus. To my father, who has always supported me and never doubted me for even a moment. Shout out to my dad. His name is Arnold Pancho. This one is for you. To my family and friends who quietly cheered for me and witnessed my journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To my boyfriend who is watching right now and who has always been there for me, thank you and I love you.

And to the entire Utel community, thank you for giving us the opportunity to reach this milestone from the comfort of our homes. And to my SSA, to my SSA who never grew tired of assisting me from day one, Ms. Nala Aljufri. Yeah. So thank you so much for not being tired of assisting me. Thank you. Thank you so much. And thank you to every staff member who makes Utel what it is.

I am proud to say that from this day forward, a part of my heart is always big green. Congratulations to all of us graduates. Thank you so much”.
