En la Magna Graduación Utel Ciudad de México 2025, celebrada en el WTC de CDMX, Michael Ilczynski, Director General de Educación en SEEK Investments, participó como invitado especial para compartir un mensaje inspirador a los más de 680 egresados de licenciatura, maestría y doctorado que conmemoraban el fin de su etapa académica y el inicio de nuevas oportunidades.

Con más de una década de experiencia en liderazgo global, habiendo sido CEO de SEEK Ltd. y de Redbubble, Ilczynski compartió su visión sobre el impacto de la educación universitaria, la importancia del coraje y el compromiso, y el papel de los graduados como agentes de cambio en sus familias y comunidades.
“I am very honored to be able to address you all. As while we do not know each other, we have one very important thing in common. That is, university education has and will change our lives. A university degree is like a superpower, and it is one that each of you now have gained. For me, university education enabled me to go from being the son of a refugee, the child of working class parents, to become a CEO of two global companies, and now to invest in education organizations right across the world. Education is transformational, and it will be for you also. But as well as gaining an education, by graduating from Utel, each of you have shown that you have two key characteristics, two behaviors, two virtues that will enable you to do anything in life.
And these are courage and commitment. These two behaviors, courage and commitment, you can achieve anything. And you have now shown that you have these. It took courage for you to start your course with Utel, to challenge yourself, to risk failure. It took real courage for you to start, but you did. You did one of the hardest things in life, and that is to take the first step down an uncertain road. And then you did the second hardest thing. You showed great commitment to complete your degree.
Over many years, you showed resilience, you showed perseverance to complete your diploma. In doing so, you have proven to yourself that you have these great qualities of courage and commitment. You have also become great role models for your family and your community. You have shown that you are someone to be admired, someone to be looked up to, someone that your parents, your spouse, your children can and should be very proud of.So now you have a wonderful opportunity. You have the superpower of a university education and you have shown that you have the two most important qualities in life of courage and commitment. So use this opportunity to put all of these three things together. Take your degree and apply it in your work or your family or your community. Have the courage to try new things, to go for that promotion, to start that new business and then use your commitment to see it through and to make it successful. This will change your life, it will help your family, and it will improve your community. You have put yourself in an incredible position, and I congratulate you all, and I ask everyone here to join me in congratulating you now. Felicidades.
Michael Ilczynski reflexiona sobre que una carrera universitaria otorga conocimientos brindando la capacidad de transformar vidas cuando se combina con valores como el coraje y el compromiso. Con sus palabras invita a que más personas se atrevan a dar ese primer paso, asumir el reto de superarse y perseverar hasta alcanzar sus metas. Tal como lo hicieron los graduados de la generación 2025, cada nuevo estudiante que inicie este camino tiene en sus manos la posibilidad de cambiar su historia y convertirse en un ejemplo para su comunidad.
