{"id":36508,"date":"2021-02-23T17:05:52","date_gmt":"2021-02-23T17:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utel.mx\/blog\/?p=36508"},"modified":"2023-03-10T17:13:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T17:13:34","slug":"el-costo-de-oportunidad-de-un-empleado-toxico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utel.mx\/blog\/10-consejos-para\/el-costo-de-oportunidad-de-un-empleado-toxico\/","title":{"rendered":"El costo de oportunidad de un empleado t\u00f3xico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pareciera incre\u00edble pero he conocido a varios empresarios que, sin haber tenido una clara intenci\u00f3n al respecto, han terminado \u201cpatrocinando\u201d dentro de sus organizaciones a colaboradores que adquieren tanto poder, bien sea por su antig\u00fcedad o su cercan\u00eda con los due\u00f1os de la empresa, que terminan convirti\u00e9ndose en trabajadores con actitudes t\u00f3xicas y que a la postre se terminan convirtiendo en una especie de \u201cmonstruitos\u201d para sus propias organizaciones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En 2015, la Escuela de Negocios de Harvard realiz\u00f3 un estudio denominado TOXIC WORKERS, realizado por Michael Housman y Dylan Minor. Esta investigaci\u00f3n la realizaron midiendo una poblaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 50,000 trabajadores en 11 compa\u00f1\u00edas y documentando la relaci\u00f3n entre la toxicidad, la productividad y el efecto que un trabajador t\u00f3xico tiene sobre sus compa\u00f1eros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Los datos arrojados por este estudio muestran, entre otras, las siguientes conclusiones:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 80% de los empleados perdi\u00f3 tiempo de trabajo preocup\u00e1ndose por la rudeza y las malas maneras de su compa\u00f1ero t\u00f3xico.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 78% dijo que su compromiso con la organizaci\u00f3n disminuy\u00f3 ante la presencia de comportamientos t\u00f3xicos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 66% reconoci\u00f3 que su desempe\u00f1o y productividad disminuyeron.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 48% disminuy\u00f3 su esfuerzo de trabajo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Casi la mitad de los empleados disminuy\u00f3 el esfuerzo de trabajo e intencionadamente pas\u00f3 menos tiempo en la oficina con la presencia de empleados t\u00f3xicos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 38% de los trabajadores disminuy\u00f3 intencionadamente la calidad de su trabajo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 25% de los empleados que hab\u00edan sido tratados con descortes\u00eda admitieron haber frustrado a sus clientes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El 12% dej\u00f3 sus trabajos debido a un trato negativo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Una de las conclusiones m\u00e1s importantes de esta investigaci\u00f3n es que se descubri\u00f3 que los buenos trabajadores que brindan un rendimiento constante y cuentan con los valores deseados por la compa\u00f1\u00eda aportan un ahorro medio de $5,300 d\u00f3lares a la empresa, mientras que evitar a un trabajador t\u00f3xico o dejarlo marchar r\u00e1pidamente genera un ahorro de $12,500 d\u00f3lares.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Por supuesto, su presencia en el engranaje de la compa\u00f1\u00eda no solamente perjudica a la econom\u00eda, sino al rendimiento, a las relaciones entre compa\u00f1eros y el clima laboral. Por lo tanto, es importante tener en cuenta estas 3 recomendaciones:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No permita que la informaci\u00f3n vital de su empresa la maneje una sola persona o un solo empleado.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Estructure un sistema donde varios de sus socios o personas de confianza tengan acceso a una especie de \u201cCaja Fuerte\u201d de la informaci\u00f3n clave de su compa\u00f1\u00eda (Claves de correo, claves de redes sociales, claves de los bancos, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Si actualmente existe un puesto clave en su compa\u00f1\u00eda que por su complejidad de manejo en este momento tan s\u00f3lo la conoce o maneja un solo empleado, comience lo m\u00e1s pronto posible un plan de capacitaci\u00f3n para que este funcionario forme otras dos personas que pueden desempe\u00f1ar ese mismo cargo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:
