{"id":41446,"date":"2022-06-06T17:08:03","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T17:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/utel.mx\/blog\/?p=41446"},"modified":"2023-03-10T17:14:23","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T17:14:23","slug":"sentir-tristeza-mas-que-un-obstaculo-un-aliado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utel.mx\/blog\/peap\/sentir-tristeza-mas-que-un-obstaculo-un-aliado\/","title":{"rendered":"Sentir tristeza: m\u00e1s que un obst\u00e1culo, un aliado"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Las emociones son reacciones innatas que ayudan al procesamiento de la informaci\u00f3n y a orientar el propio comportamiento hacia las metas personales, adem\u00e1s de que contribuyen a comunicar necesidades. (Reyes, 2016).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Sin embargo, es com\u00fan escuchar sobre las mal llamadas emociones negativas y el intento por eliminarlas, ya sea evitando ciertas situaciones o al tratar de suprimir la respuesta propiamente emocional. Dichos intentos tienen la intenci\u00f3n de quitar el dolor emocional, pero casi siempre derivan en incrementar el malestar, pues no se resuelve la causa que dio pie a la emoci\u00f3n y a veces aparece un problema secundario derivado del mal manejo de la experiencia emocional.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">La tristeza es una emoci\u00f3n<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Una de las caracter\u00edsticas de las emociones es la activaci\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gica acompa\u00f1ada por pensamientos en torno a lo ocurrido. En el caso de la tristeza, dichos cambios se perciben como des\u00e1nimo, melancol\u00eda, desaliento y p\u00e9rdida de energ\u00eda y suele asociarse como detonante principal la p\u00e9rdida o sensaci\u00f3n de fracaso (Reyes, 2016).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Considerando lo anterior, identificamos la funci\u00f3n de dicha emoci\u00f3n para:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Recuperar lo perdido, en caso de que sea posible.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Si no se puede recuperar, redefinir la direcci\u00f3n de la vida personal.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Solicitar ayuda de los dem\u00e1s.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Revalorar aspectos de la vida personal cuando las cosas no salen como uno espera.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">\u00bfEliminar o regular la tristeza?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Como ya se mencion\u00f3, la tristeza es una respuesta normal y natural en los seres humanos, eliminarla no s\u00f3lo es imposible sino que ser\u00eda un error. Diversos estudios han encontrado correlaci\u00f3n entre evitar las experiencias como sensaciones, pensamientos y emociones (evitaci\u00f3n experiencial) con mayores niveles de malestar emocional particularmente con s\u00edntomas de ansiedad (Fern\u00e1ndez-Rodr\u00edguez, et. al, 2022). Adem\u00e1s, muchas conductas disfuncionales y de evitaci\u00f3n suponen una disminuci\u00f3n en la calidad de vida, pues pueden derivar en abuso de sustancias, problemas alimenticios, control excesivo, supresi\u00f3n de las emociones, entre otras. (Linehan, 2020)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Regulaci\u00f3n emocional<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">La regulaci\u00f3n emocional puede ser definida como \u201clos procesos externos e internos responsables de monitorear, evaluar y modificar nuestras reacciones emocionales para cumplir nuestras metas\u201d (Thompson, citado en H\u00e9rvas y Moral, 2017). El objetivo de la regulaci\u00f3n emocional es reducir el sufrimiento emocional, m\u00e1s no deshacerse de las emociones, pues, como ya se expuso, tiene una funci\u00f3n importante para hacer frente a diferentes circunstancias normales en la vida y metas personales de cada uno. (Linehan, 2020).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">De acuerdo con Werner y Gross (citado en Reyes, 2016), existen 4 pasos para trabajar con el procesamiento emocional:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>Pausa<\/strong>. Hacer una pausa tomando una perspectiva de observador de las propias sensaciones, pensamientos y sentimientos sin seguir el impulso por modificarlos.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>Reconocer<\/strong>. Nombrar la emoci\u00f3n luego de identificar la experiencia emocional.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>Discriminar<\/strong>. Si es controlable, buscar solucionar el problema, en caso contrario, trabajar en la aceptaci\u00f3n y tolerancia al malestar.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>Consciencia y jerarquizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Reorientar las acciones hacia aquello que es valioso e importante para uno mismo y actuar en correspondencia con ello.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Existen diversos ejercicios para poner en pr\u00e1ctica los pasos del procesamiento emocional antes mencionado. Uno de ellos es la acci\u00f3n opuesta explicado por Reyes (2016):<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">\u201cConsiste en el intento deliberado de actuar de manera incompatible a los impulsos que acompa\u00f1an la emoci\u00f3n, permitiendo desarrollar flexibilidad y libertad de elecci\u00f3n en momentos en donde \u00e9sta es muy intensa. En el caso de la tristeza, \u00e9sta provoca aislarse o retraerse ante situaciones que la han generado, entonces la acci\u00f3n opuesta consistir\u00eda en hacer aquello que te mueva a afrontarla, no evitarla ni aislarte y hacer cosas que provoquen sentimientos de logro y seguridad en uno mismo (p. ej.
